Brief History

Unique and Fine International Schools is a private, missionary-based, co-educational boarding institution committed to the principles and teachings of the Catholic Church. Established with a vision to combine spiritual growth with academic excellence, the school provides a comprehensive educational experience that emphasizes both moral and intellectual development.

The institution officially opened its doors on October 1, 2023, marking the beginning of its journey with a reverent Holy Eucharistic celebration. This initial service was followed by a special dedication ceremony, consecrating the school to the Eucharistic Jesus and instilling a sense of sacred commitment within its walls. By upholding Catholic values and fostering a nurturing environment, Unique and Fine International Schools aims to guide students towards personal growth, strong character, and academic success, positioning itself as a beacon of faith and learning within its community.

Our Philosophy

Unique and Fine International Schools is a private, missionary-based, co-educational boarding school committed to providing an all-round and qualitative education, with emphasis on academic and moral excellence. The school has invested significantly in modern learning technology and has established an e-learning environment. It provides cutting-edge facilities for laboratory and research experiences, competent and committed teaching and administrative personnel, as well as a conducive environment for learning.

The school operates a unified curricular and co-curricular programme that focuses on the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of learners. The uniqueness of the school is further reflected in its leadership studies and religious teachings, championed by the Proprietor, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Camillus Ejike Mbaka, alongside other seasoned priests and teachers. These programmes are aimed at raising upright future leaders through the ideals and values of practical Christianity. Consequently, the school maintains zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline.

Our Conduct

UFIS maintains a Christ-centred environment where Christian principles are integrated throughout all school activities. Members of staff and students are required to adhere strictly to these ideals, as well as to the rules and regulations of the school. To sustain the high ethical standards for which the school is committed, any member of staff or student who violates these standards is appropriately disciplined.

Our well-trained, experienced, and qualified educators support learners in developing a positive sense of self-worth while pursuing quality education and academic excellence. We expect our learners, both now and in the future, to be able to compete nationally and internationally with their peers in an increasingly competitive world.

Junior Secondary (JSS)

A solid academic foundation covering the core JSS1–JSS3 curriculum, built to prepare students for the demands of senior secondary study.

Senior Secondary (SSS)

SSS1–SSS3 programmes that deepen subject specialisation and prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and university entrance examinations.

Science Department

Well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, giving students hands-on experience alongside their theoretical study.

Arts & Humanities

Literature, history, government, and languages that build strong communication, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
